Who is eligible for the CDCP?
You’re eligible if:
- You’re a Canadian resident for tax purposes
- You don’t have access to private dental insurance
- Your family’s net income is under $90,000
- You’ve filed your taxes for the previous year
What dental services are covered?
The CDCP can cover a wide range of services, including:
- Cleanings, exams, X-rays
- Fillings, extractions, root canals
- Dentures, crowns, oral surgery
- Note: Some major services require pre-approval.
How much does the CDCP cover?
Coverage depends on your income:
- Under $70,000: 100% coverage
- $70,000–$79,999: 60% coverage
- $80,000–$89,999: 40% coverage
- You may still need to pay part of the cost (called a co-pay) depending on the service and provider fees.
Can I go to any dentist?
Only dentists who are enrolled in the CDCP program can provide covered services. Be sure to ask if your provider is participating before booking. We accept the CDCP!
How do I apply for the CDCP?
You can apply online through My Service Canada. You’ll need your SIN, personal information, and most recent tax return on file.
